Mix A Pancake - by Christina Rossetti - A Children’s Poem for Pancake Day
Mix A Pancake by Christina Rossetti
Mix a pancake,
Stir a pancake,
Pop it in the pan;
Fry the pancake,
Toss the pancake,
Catch it if you can.
From Sing-Song: A Nursery Rhyme Book (1893)
Christina Georgina Rossetti (5 December 1830 – 29 December 1894) was an English poet who wrote a variety of romantic, devotional, and children's poems. The poem ‘Mix A Pancake’ is from her collection Sing-Song: A Nursery Rhyme Book.
